BFF's The cheesiest card lol :)

Here is the CHEESIEST card ever, but the recipient will get it!! I wanted to send my Bestie a card, but couldn't figure out what I wanted on the front.... I came across a card with a peanut and a strawberry on the front and KNEW that was it! haha Peanut Butter and Jelly! I welded and cut a scalloped circle (remember to flip one side so the sides will meet up right! ugh) from Mini Monograms (at 5 I think), inked and Glimmer Misted the front. I added a ribbon and some brads to the bottom part of the card. I cut a peanut from Create a Critter at 2.75 and a strawberry from Simply Charmed at 3.25 or 3.5; then added some Stickles for bling. I embossed the peanut using Tiny Bubble and the strawberry using Swiss Dots. I wrote my sentiment using a pink Gelly Roll pen and going over it with a Sakura Stardust pen.

Like Peanut Butter & Jelly... We just work!  haha :)

SOooo cheesy, but cute!!

Fuzzy, but you can see the bling!

Let's Hang Out! Monkey card

Hello everyone!!
I just wanted to share this cute little monkey card from the Create a Critter cart I made today. I wanted to make my best friend's little boy a card and she calls him "Monkey"... so I thought this was perfect! :) I cut the monkey & vines from Recollections card stock at 3 3/4. The "saying" is cut at 3. I embossed the green background using Cuttlebug's Spots & Dots, then lightly inked over it. I used a Sakura Stardust pen to add a little something to the card. I really hope he likes it!!

You can barely see it but Maddie (4 years old) wrote her name and her friend's name! :)

Thanks for looking!! :)

So excited!! My first award =D

Hello everyone,
I'm so excited because Misty at Deliteful Gifts awarded me the Liebster Blog Award!! :) She is also a newer blogger, so if you'd like please follow her. She has lots of cute ideas and inspiration.

Here are the Liebster Blog Award rules--

It is given to bring light to new blogs, and it's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen- or ones you want to share with others.

As a recipient you must share the love and pay it forward by:
1-Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster award & reveal your 3-5 blog picks
2-Let them know you chose them by leaving a comment on their blog
3-Copy & paste the blog award on your blog
4-Have faith that your followers will rally & show their crafty love back out to those you awarded
5-Have fun!

I also read they have to have less than 100 followers?  SOO, I guess I need to pick some blogs....  be on the look out for your possible award. I'll be sharing with the winners shortly! :)  (This is really hard to choose only 3-5!)

Dear Max...

This is a letter to one amazingly courageous SEVEN year old little boy. He battled Cancer; he fought very hard, but eventually it was too much for his little body. He never gave up hope or fighting... I met him on Facebook, of all places. I was asked to write on a "wall" of a med company that had the potential cure in their meds. At first they refused and everyone was irate. Eventually, not sure exactly why, but they decided to give him the experimental med. We all rejoiced and praised GOD! It seemed he was feeling better, but eventually the good feeling ended. He started to feel worse, he was loosing strength (I have no idea if the med caused this, I don't think it did). The decision was made to accept the fact that his fight on Earth was over....  God took him home on Thanksgiving day of 2010. Now there is one more angel fighting Cancer from Heaven. I hope my Aunt was there to welcome him and give him a huge hug. She gave THE BEST hugs....and also passed because of Cancer.

Dear Max,

I've been thinking of you today. The truth is you cross my mind a lot lately. Your courage, determination, and strength was inspiring to me, and many, many more. Especially towards the end. You were one AMAZING 7 year old little boy. Your life touched so many. More people are aware and Thankful because of you, Max.

I am so sorry to have "met" you because of Cancer. Cancer is horrible and unfair. Even at the very end, everyone could still see your spirit and courage. You never gave up. You were the sweetest little guy, with the cutest face....

Don't give up the fight, Max. Help your Mommy and Daddy touch more lives to find a cure for Childhood Cancer. I know your Mommy, Daddy & big sissy miss you VERY much each day.... more than words could express.

Keep fighting Max, we are all behind you and love you!

Candy Bracelet

For Valentine's Day Maddie and I made a Candy Bracelet. I just poked a hole in some Starbursts, & squares of Fruit by the Foot. I also tried to poke holes in fruit snacks, but that didn't work, they were too small. She added green and pink/red Froot Loops. We used a new green pipe cleaner to string the candy on (if you know Maddie you know we had to have GREEN). You could also use cookies (poke hole before you bake) or any round candy like Life Savers. I saw this idea on YouTube...

NO Cricut cuts LO- Enjoy the Ride

Here is a Lo I did for a Cafemom group I'm in. NO Cricut cuts were used! I used DCWV Shimmer stack in purple, a striped pp, Chip board letters for the "ride", some sticky jewels and flowers. I used stickles on the "ride" and added some fake stitching with a white gel pen.

Paper Flower Gift Box

Here is a small box for a swap I'm in, over in my Cricut group on CafeMom.com. This is the flower box from Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More. It is cut as big as a 12x12 mat would allow. I also added a flower from Create a Critter. The sparkle ribbon is from the $1 section at Joanne's. I added a flower shaped brad in the center of the flower. The box isn't glued shut by the way. Looking at the picture, the box reminds me of Princess and the Frog. lol

Tinker Bell! :)

Hubby found the Tinker Bell and Friends cart on sale the other day! It is SUPER cute!! :) The images are kinda hard to cut smoothly and piece together. It is a fun challenge though! haha In my Cricut group on CafeMom I was challenged to make something using a cartoon character, the colors brown & blue, and at least one Cricut cut. Here is the LO I came up with. All cuts, except the tag (TBBM), white heart (Doodle Charms), & 'paper clip' (Tear Drop) are from the Tinker Bell cart. What do you think/ like better?

 This is the original

 With a little bling

and I added the tag and 'paper clip' to meet another challenge..

Snow LO- 2 page

Here is a 2 page LO- Traditional Winter colors with one pop color. I cut the SNOW title & word Winter from Speaking of Winter, the penguins were from Simply Charmed, and the Igloo is from Create a Critter. The snow angel and small word phrases are from Winter Frolic. I added a little sticky bling to the title, word winter, penguins, and glittered the bottom of the page to get the snow drift look. I added fake stitching around the pictures that aren't matted in pink.

Birthday Card and a Leprechaun cut

Today (2/2) was hubby's birthday. I made him a card also from the Simply Charmed cart (the cake). I made an S-Fold or a Z-Fold card, however you want to look at it. lol Hopefully you know how to make one. I saw the idea from Mary at Cardz TV, love her stuff!! You basically make a card, then fold the front of the card backwards in 1/2 again. I added a rectangle in the middle only glued to the one side. The 29 is from George and Basic Shapes. I added some pop dot-type adhesive to the cake. It's not very "pretty" but it's for a man. hehe

Here is a leprechaun I cut out today for a swap. It is so cute!! From Simply Charmed cart, cut at 3in. Of course Maddie HAD to "help" me with each cut, and double check my work with the book! lol

A Love Bug

Today is a Snow Day for most of the town. We are in a BLIZZARD (no joke), and a State of Emergency has been issued for our State. Crazy. So obviously we have been inside ALL day. We have opened the door a few times to watch the snow pile up, and Hubby went out to see how deep it was (to his knees, he is 6'3 !!) around 6 pm. Our 2 bottom steps to our house are covered, the snow is up to & covering the second step!

I have been crafting while Maddie has been playing, and hubby has been gaming. lol Here are a couple things I cut out today. The "Love Bug" is from my new cart Simply Charmed. I also made a Valentine's Day card for hubby. For the ladybug and the I <3 U, I cut at 3in. from one of my favorite carts, Create a Critter. I embossed the hearts with the Sizzix Valentine Set #4, added a piece of ribbon from Dollar General, and added some Martha Stewart Glitter to the hearts on the cut outs. The card took me a while! I started it, then messed it up and had to re-do most of it, but I am very happy with the way it turned out!!

It is VERY pink! hehe

You gotta love my dd's Wall*E table! lol
